Demystifying Artificial Light & Flash Photography
Stop fighting with bad weather, short days, dark studios, and shifts in cloud cover. I’m here to help you overcome your artificial light anxiety and free yourself to shoot anytime, anywhere.
We all know that relying on “natrual light” to make the shot puts you at a disadvantage. You only have a limited window in which to shoot during the day AND if the weather shifts, you may need to reschedule your project. If you have a team and clients relying on you, this is a BIG PROBLEM.
I make the move to artificial light uncomplicated and straightforward. PLUS I share what equipment you'll need to get up and running.

Read MoreSuzanne breaks down all the items one might need to style food, where to find them, how to use them, and how to organize them. Her presentation is clear. I appreciate that she doesn't expect us all to run out and buy the most expensive tools. She explains which tools she sees as essential and which are more helpful for specific jobs, and where she is using an expensive tool, she gives ideas for more affordable versions. I think this class would be helpful for people who have started photographing food or working with a food photographer and are looking to up their styling game and also for people who are exploring what being a professional food photographer or stylist entails. For me, personally, her organizational tips were super helpful, as my own lack of organization is a big stumbling block to my getting work done.

Read MoreFood photography is new to me, and my past experience with other types of photography was not helping me achieve compositions that I liked. It's one thing to shoot existing subjects, and quite another to create one from scratch. Thank goodness Suzanne came to the rescue with this brilliant guide. She taught me new concepts to think about, and organized the messy ideas I already had. I viewed all the segments in one sitting, everything seemed to fall into place, ideas raced through my head overnight, and I started today, eager to create new work. Thanks, Suzanne!

Read MoreWow, these were fantastic videos to watch as I begin branching more into food photography in my studio. In addition to what to buy, the tips on things to consider before I take certain shots were really helpful! If someone is a new photographer and just getting started, these courses will save you a ton of time and money. Many of the videos explain why you need certain items for your shoots, and what you need to consider before you ever set up in the studio. If you’re an experienced photographer who wants to branch into food photography, the explanations around tips for shooting food setups will be invaluable. As someone who has been shooting already, I learned a number of new things.
